bend my back and try.
Sweaty palms grip my pride
as my cracked mind
tries not to break.
This line has lost its end in bitter contempt.

So hold on to your friends
Or you're gonna sink
down in the deep end.

Battered hearts bleed green
and cause a scene for someone else.
Just when I started to break free,
my hands were tied tight.
So down I go
to the bottom's low depths
in my head.
